Jen Juice

Sean Lennon asked my name – I respond, “Jen” (in my TX accent). He kept saying, “Wait..is it, Jen or Gin?” I respond, “Jennifer” ..he seemed curious and I could tell he was trying to hear me, and really hear me – and my accent. He asked again, “Gin?” I got really present with him and explain the way I may say my name may sound like Gin.. gathering my accent…Texans don’t annunciate the E and I differently. They are the same with Texans – “so, it’s like, Gin and Juice ” – I say. Sean’s response..”That’s hot…” It was a great New Year’s Eve. Happy 2019, Y’all!
